Weszt

This just in: Weszt returns to Orlando on October 9th at Back Booth. Weszt will be sharing the stage with Ambertone and other acts (to be announced). Further details in Tour.

Quietly – yet confidently – Weszt.com went live last night with a soft launch. Basically this means we’re still testing but the public is invited.

Many long nights and early mornings went into the completion of the new site and design and though I might always feel there’s much left to do, I’m certain that much care has been taken and everything has been done thoroughly. Thank you to all the Weszt fans – notably Sharon – who stood up (as always) to lend a hand in gathering all the photos. I was overwhelmed by the sheer volume of content and ultimately decided to cherry pick a bit, point to the existing fan archives, and let things here evolve naturally.

Happy to have a home I can invite you all to again. Come on in and don’t mind the mess!

I was tempted to avoid this – the obligatory “welcome to the new site” message – but it occurred to me that the scope of Weszt.com had changed enough to merit some explanation.

After months of actively trying to reinvent myself, I came to the conclusion that Weszt.com needed to live and breathe again – though in a slightly different manner. Felt I’d be trampling on the happy memories of others if I were to operate under the guise of Weszt, the band, when I was basically exploring all musical options, but I also needed to be true to Weszt, the man. So the site has transformed into a blog where I’ll be sharing new songs, my thoughts on music and band life, and the latest news from the guys and myself. Might have a podcast or two in the works, not to mention demos – but don’t hold me to that in the short run. I’ve got a bad habit of taking on and promising too much.

At any rate, welcome to the new Weszt.com. Feels good to be back.
